Eco-ADventure
Being Eco-Friendly is certainly the buzz with many industries. As this topic has grown over the years so has our customer's interest in knowing what roll they can play in helping the environment.
At ADventure Graphic Communications finding products and learning how we can help our customers do their part in helping the environment has become a full time commitment. We call this commitment Eco-ADventure.
Throughout our site look for Eco-ADventure sections explaining how we are doing our part in helping our customers with Eco-Friendly products.
If you are not entirely familiar with Eco-Friendly solutions, look below for terminology you will find with some of the products and services we offer:
- Bamboo
-
An alternative to wood. Generally, bamboo is more renewable than wood because it is a fast-growing grass/reed. Care should still be taken when shopping for bamboo products because many cheaply made bamboo items are coated with toxic finishes. Look for natural and certified organic bamboo labels.
- Biodegradable
-
A material or substance which will decompose quickly and without harmful effects to the environment when left exposed to nature.
- Forestry Stewardship Council
-
The Forestry Stewardship Council is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests.
- Organic
-
Of or relating to a product that is solely made from plants or insects. Organic materials and products often carry certifications according to industry.
- Post-consumer
-
Refers to recycled material that was used first by a consumer. A high post-consumer content helps divert materials from ending up in landfills.
- Recyclable
-
A product or material (aluminum, steel, paper, etc.) that can be converted back into material that can be used again in manufacturing new goods.
- Zero-VOC
-
A term used to indicate paint / ink containing no volatile organic compounds - a healthier alternative to conventional paints / inks.
